Ever wondered what it feels like to walk through a space where cars, energy, technology, and entertainment all collide in one place? That is exactly what Kuala Lumpur will turn into when the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) returns for its 11th edition from 12 to 21 June 2026 at MITEC.
This is not just another car exhibition. It is a 10-day takeover of ideas, design, and innovation, shaped by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), Qube Integrated Malaysia, and the Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii). KLIMS has steadily evolved into a platform where the automotive world shows not only what it builds today, but what it is preparing for tomorrow.

A Strong Industry Backdrop Driving the Show Forward

Malaysia’s automotive scene enters KLIMS 2026 with solid ground beneath it. In 2025, the total industry volume reached 820,752 units, a figure that reflects steady consumer demand and a resilient market even as technology shifts rapidly.
But beyond the numbers, the direction is what matters. Government support for cleaner transport, growing interest in electrified vehicles, and fast-moving digital integration are pushing the industry into a new phase. KLIMS 2026 is designed to capture that transition in real time, not as theory, but as something visitors can actually see and experience on the show floor.

Seven Halls, One Massive Mobility Ecosystem

MITEC will host the event across seven halls, covering nearly 30,000 square metres. Instead of being separated into isolated brand booths, the space is expected to feel more like a connected ecosystem.
Well-known names such as Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Perodua, Proton, MG Motor, Wuling, Xpeng, Zeekr, Smart, Jetour, GWM, Dongfeng, Maxus, and Proton eMAS will be part of the lineup. Each brings its own interpretation of mobility—ranging from conventional engineering strength to fully electric platforms designed for the next decade.
Alongside the vehicle displays, accessory makers and mobility service providers will also fill the halls, giving visitors a broader view of how the entire automotive supply chain is evolving.

“Beyond Mobility” – A Theme That Expands the Conversation

The theme this year, “Beyond Mobility,” is not just a slogan. It reflects a shift in how transportation is being understood. Cars are no longer standalone machines; they are becoming connected systems tied to energy, data, infrastructure, and even urban planning.
At KLIMS 2026, expect to see concepts that highlight alternative energy solutions, electrification technologies, and smart mobility systems. The focus is less about futuristic fantasy and more about real-world progress—what is already in motion and what will soon shape everyday travel.

Urban Play: Where Driving Gets Hands-On

One of the most interesting additions this year is Urban Play, an interactive obstacle experience designed to test vehicle control, responsiveness, and driving dynamics. Instead of just looking at cars behind barriers, visitors can observe and experience how performance behaves under real-world-inspired challenges. It brings a physical layer to the show that turns technical features into something people can actually feel and understand.

Music and a Different Kind of Auto Show Energy

KLIMS 2026 also steps beyond the automotive world by blending in live entertainment through a collaboration with Riuh. The result is an event atmosphere that feels closer to a festival than a traditional expo.
Live performances from Malaysian acts such as FUGŌ, Kyoto Protocol, Adrian Danial, and TY:DEL will bring music into the exhibition space. A drumline performance by Voice of Percussion and a fusion dance showcase by Siluman Production add even more movement and rhythm to the environment. There is also something for podcast and motorsport culture fans, with a live recording of The Overdrive Session Automotive Podcast, offering conversations straight from voices within the industry.

A Space for Communities, Collectors, and Curious Minds

Beyond the main stages and car displays, KLIMS 2026 includes a Hobbyist Hub, a space built for enthusiasts, collectors, and small vendors. It brings a more personal layer to the event, where automotive culture meets lifestyle and creative communities. Adding to the unexpected mix, visitors can also explore a Pokémon-themed interactive experience featuring the Pokopia game, showing how pop culture continues to blend into large-scale exhibitions in surprising ways.
KLIMS 2026 is shaping up to be something bigger than a traditional auto show. It is becoming a space where technology, entertainment, culture, and mobility overlap in one environment. For anyone following where transportation is heading, this is not just about seeing new cars. It is about understanding how everything around them—energy, design, digital systems, and user experience—is changing at the same time.
