Hey, Lykkers! Some eyeshadow palettes instantly become the ones I reach for without thinking, while others take a little more time to appreciate.
These two palettes ended up giving me completely different experiences, not because one was bad and the other was perfect, but because they shine in different situations.

1. Buttonscarves x Marlene Hariman Eyedmire Eyeshadow Palette – New York

I remember opening this palette for the first time and immediately being drawn to the color story. The mix of warm neutrals with deeper shades felt thoughtfully put together, making it easy to create anything from a quick daytime look to something a little more dramatic for the evening.
The mattes blended smoothly without leaving patchy spots, which made building up the color feel effortless. The shimmer shades were just as enjoyable to use because they added a soft glow to the eyelids instead of looking overly glittery.
I usually tapped them on with my fingertip for the strongest payoff, and that method never disappointed. What kept this palette on my vanity was its versatility. I never had to spend several minutes wondering which shades would work together—they simply did.

2. Chanel LES BEIGES Eyeshadow Palette – Golden

There are palettes that make your makeup look polished without trying too hard, and this is one of them. The shades lean elegant rather than bold, so every look comes out soft, refined, and effortless. The texture was one of the biggest highlights for me. Each shade felt incredibly smooth, almost creamy, making blending feel nearly foolproof.
Instead of harsh edges, the colors melted into one another naturally, creating that subtle dimension I usually look for in everyday makeup.
Even after several hours of wear, the eyeshadow stayed looking fresh with very little fading. Whenever I wanted a classic look that paired with almost any outfit, this palette was the one I reached for.
I don't think these palettes compete with each other—they simply serve different moods. The Buttonscarves x Marlene Hariman Eyedmire Palette – New York gives me more room to play with color combinations, while the Chanel LES BEIGES Eyeshadow Palette – Golden is my choice when I want an elegant, effortless eye look with minimal effort.
