Welcome, Friends! Tinted sunscreen is one of my favorite summer shortcuts when I want some coverage without reaching for a full foundation. I like how it can even out the complexion while still keeping the routine light.
The tricky part is finding a formula that matches the finish and coverage I actually want. I compared four popular options, and each one has a different personality on the skin.
1. Saie Slip Tint — SPF 35
Saie Slip Tint gives a fresh, dewy finish with sheer coverage that lets the skin still look like skin. I like it most for casual makeup days when the goal is a healthy glow rather than a perfected complexion.
2. Merit The Uniform — SPF 45
Merit The Uniform feels more polished while keeping the finish natural. The coverage helps smooth out the overall complexion without giving that heavy foundation effect. For days when I want my base to look neat but still effortless, this is the one I’d consider.
3. Tower 28 SunnyDays — SPF 30
Tower 28 SunnyDays has a slightly more coverage-focused feel compared with the sheerest options here. It helps even out redness and gives the complexion a smoother appearance while maintaining a natural finish. I’d reach for it when tinted sunscreen alone needs to do a little more work.
4. Kosas DreamBeam — SPF 40
Kosas DreamBeam leans into a luminous, radiant finish. It gives the skin that softly glazed look that works especially well with minimal summer makeup. I like the idea of pairing it with cream blush and keeping everything else simple.
Saie is my choice for sheer dewy coverage, Merit for a polished everyday base, Tower 28 when more coverage is needed, and Kosas for extra radiance. The best one really depends on whether the summer makeup mood is sheer, polished, covered, or glowing.
